The Contribution of African American Women I am not the first. I am not the primary Black lady to go to a school or college. I am not the principal Black lady to practice her entitlement to cast a ballot. I am not the principal Black lady to dream, to be so confident for positive change that she sees prospects in dreariness. I am not the principal Black lady to know how it feels to be dismissed rather than acknowledged, to be embarrassed rather than acclaimed, to be ignored without sheep blood spread on her entryway. I am not the principal Black lady to encounter America. I remain as a couple of impressions to be made in the ways of the world.
